De begeleiding bij lipoedeem en lymfoedeem is gericht op niet-medische therapeutische ondersteuning, met focus op comfort, mobiliteit, lymfatische functie en levenskwaliteit.
Er worden geen medische diagnoses gesteld en geen medische behandelingen uitgevoerd. De begeleiding gebeurt aanvullend en steeds in samenwerking met de behandelend arts, meestal een vaatchirurg of huisarts.
