ACADEMY · NEIVA CIMINI METHOD®

The postoperative training
the market doesn't have yet
and is starting to demand.

There is real demand for professionals who know how to guide surgical recovery with a clinical method. Most available courses are too superficial to build trust, or too technical to apply. The Academy sits in between: real science, in language you understand and can apply tomorrow.

WHY THE ACADEMY EXISTS

Training is everywhere. Training that actually works is rare.

What exists today:

On one side, fast courses that teach techniques with no physiological grounding: you learn the movement but not the reason behind it. When something goes off script in your treatment room, you don't know what to do.

On the other, academic programs dense with science (histology, inflammatory markers, tissue biomechanics) that never translate into clinical practice. The student ends up knowing what happens inside the tissue, but not what to do with the person sitting in front of them.

Both paths lead to the same place: a professional who treats without real confidence, who can unknowingly compromise the outcome of a surgery someone paid a great deal for.

What the Academy offers instead:

I move between both worlds. I speak the science (inflammatory markers, healing phases, collagen histology, fascia biomechanics) and translate it into what you actually do in the second week after a lipo.

It is a bridge: scientific rigor applied in language you absorb and use. That is my edge as a teacher, and what allowed me to train doctors.

"I can move between both worlds: I speak the scientific language (markers, histology) and translate it so the student truly understands. That is my edge as a teacher."

WHO IT IS FOR

If you recognize yourself here, you are the professional the Academy trains.

You are a massage therapist, esthetician, nurse, therapist, or another health professional, and:

  • You want to work with postoperative recovery, but know you don't have enough clinical grounding to do it safely
  • You already work with postoperative recovery, but feel like you're improvising, without really knowing what you're doing at each stage
  • You notice the market is asking for this service and you don't want to be left out
  • You want to charge more for your work, and that takes training that justifies the value
  • You are based in Europe and need training that respects the clinical standards here

Not for you if you:

  • × Want to learn "body-sculpting massage" or aesthetic techniques with no clinical grounding
  • × Are looking for a certificate to hang on the wall, with no real commitment to learning
THE TRAINING PATH

Progressive modules: start with the essentials, build toward specialization.

The training is modular and progressive: you don't need to do it all at once. It starts with the foundation most courses skip, and goes all the way to full certification in the Method.

MODULE 01

POSTOPERATIVE FUNDAMENTALS

The entry module · Level: Beginner to Intermediate

The clinical foundation that separates those who guide postoperative recovery with a method from those who work without knowing what they're doing.

What you learn:

  • Healing physiology: the three phases and what happens in the tissue at each one
  • The lymphatic system: real anatomy, direction, what surgery changes
  • Inflammation control: why timing is everything, and what happens when you act at the wrong moment
  • Fibrosis: how it forms, why heavy-handed massage makes it worse, what actually works
  • Clinical lymphatic drainage: technique, pressure, direction (different from the aesthetic version)
  • Seroma: what it is, how to prevent it, what to do when it appears

End result: you know what you're doing, why you're doing it, and when to stop. You treat with confidence, and can explain to the person in your care what is happening.

MODULE 02

COMPLICATIONS: SEROMA AND FIBROSIS

Level: Intermediate · Prerequisite: Module 01 or equivalent foundation

What to do when recovery doesn't go as it should.

What you learn:

  • Spotting early signs of fibrosis and seroma (without making the call yourself: what to observe and when to refer to the doctor)
  • Managing established fibrosis: what works, at which stage, with which technology
  • Organizing seroma: specific drainage, compression, communication with the surgeon
  • When to stop and refer: the limits of your scope and how to communicate that to the person in your care
  • Supporting technologies: TECAR, ultrasound, photobiomodulation (indications and contraindications)

End result: you don't panic when recovery gets complicated. You know what to do, and what to avoid.

MODULE 03

PROTOCOLS BY SURGERY TYPE

Level: Intermediate to Advanced · Prerequisite: Modules 01 and 02

Every surgery leaves a different tissue behind. The protocol has to reflect that.

What you learn:

  • Liposuction (conventional, HD, VASER): the tissue map, phases, what changes in each variation
  • Abdominoplasty: fascial redistribution, seroma risk, phase-by-phase guidance
  • BBL: two surgical fields, early mobilization, specific precautions
  • Facelift / deep plane: a protocol that differs from body work in almost everything, no TECAR, cervical chains, zero pressure
  • Liposuction on someone with lipedema: underlying inflammation, increased dosimetry, functional goal

End result: you have a specific protocol for each scenario, instead of one generic technique you try to stretch over everything.

WHAT CHANGES IN YOUR PRACTICE

This isn't just a course. It's what you start offering, and charging for.

Before the training:

You do drainage work. Maybe some postoperative care through a referral. But you're not confident about what you're doing at each stage, and that limits what you charge and what you offer. Clients with more complex cases make you nervous. Doctors don't refer you, because they don't know what you actually do.

After the training:

You have a method. You know what's happening in your client's tissue and why you're doing what you're doing. You can explain it to her, and to her doctor.

Surgeons start to see you as a trusted partner instead of a spa alternative. You charge more, because you deliver more, and you can prove it.

The Directory of Certified Professionals links your name to the Method, visible to anyone looking for postoperative support with a clinical standard.

WHO TEACHES

Trained by someone who still does the work, rather than someone who only teaches it.

Neiva Cimini didn't leave real practice behind to teach from a classroom. She still treats, still works through complications, still works inside a plastic surgery practice in Brussels, and in 2026 was one of the speakers at ISAPS Body Masters, alongside the world's leading body contouring surgeons.

What she teaches is what she practices. The cases you'll study are real. The protocol you'll learn is the same one surgeons trust.

QUESTIONS

What professionals ask most before joining.

Are the modules recognized with a certificate?

The certification belongs to the Neiva Cimini Method®: a proprietary method, rather than a regulated academic degree. Its value comes from who signs it and what it represents: training from an internationally recognized specialist, with a verifiable methodology. Regulated academic certifications follow different paths (physiotherapy, medicine), which fall outside what the Academy offers.

Do I need prior experience to start?

Module 01 is designed for people with a background in health or aesthetics who have little or no specific experience in postoperative care. The only requirement is a professional foundation: you don't need to have worked in postoperative care before.

Are the modules live or recorded?

To be confirmed: this will be set before the first group opens. The plan is recorded modules combined with live sessions for questions and case discussions.

Do you take professionals from outside Europe?

Yes. The content is in Portuguese and applies in any context: Brazil, Portugal, other Portuguese-speaking countries. The Directory of Certified Professionals is international.

When does the next group open?

Groups open in batches. The waitlist guarantees priority access and notice before the public opening.
